How to Sell an Item
1. Click on the “Sell an Item” button at the top of the page.
2. Select a Category (Music or Dance) and a Sub-Category
3. Complete the form to Sell an Item.
Tip: Each field on the “Sell an Item” form has a blue question mark next to it. You can put your mouse over the blue question mark in order to get detailed instructions for completing each field.
4. Review the information for the item you will be selling
5. Paying Fees for Listing Item
Option A – Pay As You Go
The final step when listing your item is the “Payment” page. TheĀ fee for listing a single item can be paid via a credit/debit card. If you have previously used your credit/debit card, then you can use the “previous” card that was used. (Fee = 50 cents per item)
Option B – Subscription
If you are already a Subscriber, then the “Payment” page will be automatically skipped and your item will be immediately listed. However, if you choose to make your item “Featured”, you will be taken to the “Payment” page to pay the “Featured” listing fee. (Fee = $15.00 per month)
6. Receiving Payment
If the item was sold via PayPal
Once a payment has beenĀ received via PayPal, your item will automatically be listed as “Sold”. Also, your item will be listed in the “Sold Items” section of “My Account”. You will be able to see payment confirmation information that is sent from PayPal. You will also see information about the person/user that purchased your item.
If the item was sold via Check
If the item is sold via Check, you will be sent an email notification that a person has requested to purchase your item via a Check payment. We highly encourage you to immediately communicate with the buyer in order to ensure that you receive a check payment mailed to your correct address and in a prompt manner. Also, we send an email to the buyer informing them to communicate with you as soon as possible in order to confirm your address and mail your check.
Note: Dance and Music Exchange is not responsible for any fraudulent transactions. Please make sure to allow time for the check deposit to “clear” in order to avoid any “bounced” checks or fraudulent check payments before shipping your item.
